Highly recommended New York Café! The place is absolutely stunning, and the quality of the live musicians truly transports you back in time. The atmosphere is elegant, magical, and perfect for special occasions.
A special 5+ star recognition for our waiter, K. Sandor. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us with warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness. He is extremely polite and clearly someone with remarkable values.
We mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary, and he surprised us with a delicious cheesecake — absolutely delightful. He also thoughtfully brought us a brochure about the café’s history, which made the experience even more special.
We ordered the Dubai Coffee and a latte — both were excellent and perfect for a celebration night. The menu is very extensive, and everything looks exquisite.
We will definitely return — especially to be attended again by our friend K. Sandor!

We had a truly wonderful dining experience at the New York Café, one of the most stunning and atmospheric places we have ever visited. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, with magnificent décor that transports you to another era.
The service was impeccable and the food was exceptionally delicious. The experience was elevated even more by the enchanting sounds of the violin, which perfectly complemented the elegant atmosphere.
If you are visiting Budapest, this is a place you absolutely must visit.

An unforgettable experience at New York Café. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning. Its truly one of the most beautiful cafés in the world. The food and desserts were delicious, and everything felt elegant and well-organized. Thank you, Vanda, for your kindness and excellent service, we will definitely be back!

Wow what a beautiful and unique experience. We arrived at a time of no delays or queuing and were seated quickly and efficiently for a great comfortable spot. The atmosphere and ambience is certainly very special, with gallery viewing and a small band to enjoy the real atmosphere of this special dining venue. Drinks and appetisers were lovely and priced as expected for this beautiful location.

We had the best trip to New York Cafe, only waited 5mins for a table although there was a queue. Lovely waitress who took our order, many thanks to Boglavka who was just amazing. Food and drinks came quickly and were delicious. The surroundings and atmosphere in the amazing building were just stunning. Yes its not cheap but the service was brilliant, food was very tasty and the service excellent. Read the reviews but I would suggest you try this beautiful place, we were not disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience at New York Cafe in Budapest. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning and truly unforgettable.
Special thanks to our server Vanda for her outstanding service. She was very friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable with her warm hospitality. Prices were a little high, but considering the location and experience, it was still worth it.

Great atmosphere. The music was live and non-stop. I had the chicken paprikash, it was quite good. I also had the chocolate sponge cake, great as well. Noemi was my server. She was great. So attentive and helpful with the menu. Even as it was very busy she made eye contact to check if I needed anything. Would recommend getting a reservation. There was a very long line to get in and I just walked up, barely waited and was seated. Worth checking out even though it draws it many tourist.

Beautiful atmosphere and a stunning interior — definitely worth visiting. The waiters are extremely kind and professional. I highly recommend making a reservation, as waits can be long. We booked in advance and were seated immediately. If possible, reserve a table in the gallery — it’s quieter, more comfortable, and offers the best view. ✨

What a beautiful cafe! The interior is just breathtaking and the Dubai hot chocolate I can very much recommend! Our waitress, Tünde, was extremely friendly and professional and made us feel right at home!
I was at the hotel for a lovely salsa festival, the place has an amazing ballroom as well. Stunning architecture all over! And very friendly staff everywhere!

The most beautiful café! Delicious coffee and icecream, very nice arranged on the plates. I liked the live piano music. Our waitress Vanda were so sweet and service minded! My best recommendations!

It was a rough start as they were not finding our reservation, however, once it was found the experience was amazing. Vanda was so lovely and helpful, she made our reservation so great. The guys playing the piano and violin were great, playing beautiful songs. The cafe is so beautiful that the videos and photos don’t make it justice. The bathroom was simple in comparison with the whole cafe. The coffees and sweets were good. Definitely a great experience!

I had a pleasant experience at the New York cafe, the waitress K.Noemi was lovely and met our expectations. I went for breakfast with my friend and we had the Hungarian breakfast, which was soo tasty and the 24 carat gold cappuccino was nice and so opulent especially with the surrounding and the architecture of the building. Exceptional experience.

What a wonderful experience!!! Incredible architectural interiors, we sat and had coffee & desserts and everything was very good...Our server Sandor was extremely pleasant and wonderful...We were informed that we came at a good time , we were seated immediately.. usually there is a 2 hour wait with no reservations...so be aware !!

Wonderful experience at New York Café! The place is beautiful and elegant with an amazing atmosphere. The live music — violin and piano — creates a magical vibe. The coffee and food were delicious, and the service was excellent and fast. The waiters are extremely kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Zoltan for his kindness, professionalism, and friendly smile — he really made the visit even better.
Just note that there is only one restroom, which feels a bit limited for such a busy place, and there can be a line to wait outside before getting in. Still, highly recommended!

It truly lives up to its claims of being the most beautiful cafe in the world. The desserts were fantastic, and the atmosphere instantly transports you back in time. The waiting time is approximately 30-35 minutes, and you'll also wait inside, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Budapest.

We came here twice on our weekend here ! The place is obviously stunning but for me it was the live musicians that topped it off - the piano and violin players were beautiful.
The food was also really good and hot chocolate best I’ve ever had!
The staff were all so lovely and really speedy service considering how packed it was.

New York Café is absolutely stunning and truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful cafés in the world. The interior is breathtaking, with its grand chandeliers, frescoes, and elegant atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The coffee and desserts were delicious, though prices are on the higher side—but that’s expected for such a unique experience. Definitely worth visiting at least once when in Budapest. However, I need to keep in mind that it is very expensive and the service is not the best.

A visit to the New York Café in Budapest is a must. If you go on weekends or public holidays, expect a queue, so patience is needed. The place is stunning, with impressive architecture — the interior feels like a work of art. Service is fast and polite. I ordered a cheesecake with homemade apricot jam and a golden cappuccino; both were excellent. You can enjoy your food or drink with live violin or piano music. Prices are on the higher side, but the experience is definitely worth it.
