This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a dedicated Clear Filters button to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Clear Filters block is highly flexible, perfect for instantly resetting all active search and taxonomy filters on a content grid or list, simplifying the user experience, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Clear Filters”.
The Clear Filters block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Clear Filters block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Clear Filters”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Clear Filters block and use the settings panel on the right. Adjust the Target Widget Name to connect the button to your filterable content, choose the Button Text or Icon, and control the Display Logic (e.g., show only when filters are active). Customize the Styling for the Button Background, Typography, and Border to create a functional, visually appealing reset control that fits your site’s design.
