This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a Content Box Overlay to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Content Box Overlay block is an elegant way to present information where a hidden layer of content (the overlay) appears over the main content (the box) on hover, enhancing user interaction. It works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Content Box Overlay”.
The Content Box Overlay block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Content Box Overlay block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Content Box Overlay”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Content Box Overlay block and use the settings panel on the right. Adjust the Overlay Animation, set the Overlay Background Color and Opacity, and control the Transition Speed. Customize the Styling for the Main Box, Overlay Text Typography, and Button to create an interactive, information-rich element that complements your site’s design.
