This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a dynamic Post Query Summary to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Post Query Summary block is highly flexible, perfect for instantly displaying information about the content being shown (like the number of results or currently filtered terms), enhancing user feedback, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Post Query Summary”.
The Post Query Summary block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Post Query Summary block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Post Query Summary”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Post Query Summary block and use the settings panel on the right. Adjust the Target Widget Name to connect to the post content, choose the Information to Display (e.g., Total Results or Post Range), and control the Visibility of the summary on different devices. Customize the Styling for the Summary Text, Typography, and Alignment to create a functional, visually appealing results feedback that fits your site’s design.
