This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a dynamic Remote Counter block (a system where clicking an external number/step/title updates a related content area) to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Remote Counter block is highly flexible, perfect for visualizing multi-step processes, showcasing sequential features, or creating interactive guides, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Remote Counter”.
The Remote Counter block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Remote Counter block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Remote Counter ”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Remote Counter block and use the settings panel on the right. Set the unique Connection ID to link to your target content block, add or remove Counter Steps (Number/Title and optional Subtitle), and choose the Orientation and Default Step. Customize the Styling for the Counter Background and Typography (Normal and Active states), Subtitle Text Color, and the Connector Line (Color/Thickness) to create a functional, visually appealing step selector that fits your site’s design.
