This step-by-step guide will show you how to add an interactive Remote Dropdown block (a system where selecting an option from a dropdown menu controls which tab/content is displayed) to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Remote Dropdown block is highly flexible, perfect for organizing extensive content, creating space-saving feature selectors, or building responsive navigation, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Remote Dropdown”.
The Remote Dropdown block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Remote Dropdown block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Remote Dropdown”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Remote Dropdown block and use the settings panel on the right. Set the unique Connection ID to link to your target content block, set the Default Placeholder/Label, and choose the Default Selection. Customize the Styling for the Dropdown Background and Text Typography, Option List Colors, and the Dropdown Arrow Icon to create a functional, visually appealing content selector that fits your site’s design.
