This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a dynamic Remote Item Navigation block to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Remote Item Navigation block is highly flexible, perfect for creating custom-labeled navigation menus for sliders, allowing users to jump directly to specific content, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Remote Item Navigation”.
The Remote Item Navigation block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Remote Item Navigation block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Remote Item Navigation”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Remote Item Navigation block and use the settings panel on the right. Set the unique Connection ID to link to your target content block, add or remove Navigation Items (Link Text and Target Index), and choose the Orientation and Link Type. Customize the Styling for the Link/Button Background and Text Typography (Normal and Active states), Border Radius, and Spacing to create a functional, visually appealing custom content selector that fits your site’s design.
