This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a clean, dedicated Side Menu block to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Side Menu block is highly flexible, perfect for organizing content sections, creating a table of contents, or providing structured sub-navigation, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Side Menu”.
The Side Menu block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Side Menu block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Side Menu”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Side Menu block and use the settings panel on the right. Add or remove Menu Links, set the Link Text and URL (e.g., anchor link), and define the Hierarchy Level for each item. Choose the Layout Style and optional Icons. Customize the Styling for the Menu Container Background, Link Text Typography (Normal and Active states), Active Item Highlight (Color/Border), and Indentation Spacing to create a functional, visually appealing hierarchical navigation system that fits your site’s design.
