This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a dynamic Tabs Filter to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Tabs Filter block is highly flexible, perfect for allowing users to filter a list or grid of posts by category or tag without reloading the page, improving navigation, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Tabs Filter”.
The Tabs Filter block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Tabs Filter block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Tabs Filter ”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Tabs Filter block and use the settings panel on the right. Adjust the Taxonomy Source and Advanced Filters to define the terms for filtering, choose the Target Widget Name for connection, and control the visibility of the “All” Tab and Item Count. Customize the Styling for the Tab Headers (Normal and Active states), Typography, and Icons to create a functional, visually appealing content navigation system that fits your site’s design.
