This step-by-step guide will show you how to add a clean, classic Thumbnail Gallery block to your WordPress site using the Unlimited Elements Blocks Library. The Thumbnail Gallery block is highly flexible, perfect for showcasing product photos or detailed portfolio images where users need to easily switch between views, and works directly inside the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) – no coding required.
Click Download, then in your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the ZIP file.
Click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
From your WordPress dashboard, go to Unlimited Elements → Blocks Library.
This is where all available blocks are listed and managed.
Use the search bar at the top right and type “Thumbnail Gallery”.
The Thumbnail Gallery block will appear in the results list.
Hover over the Thumbnail Gallery block and click Install.
This adds the block to your available options in the editor.
Open any page or post using the WordPress block editor.
Click the (+) Add Block button, search for “Thumbnail Gallery”, and insert it into the page.
Once added, select the Thumbnail Gallery block and use the settings panel on the right. Upload your Images and set optional Titles. Define the Thumbnail Position (Bottom, Left, Right), Transition Effect, and Thumbnail Sizing and Spacing. Enable the optional Lightbox effect. Customize the Styling for the Main Image Border Radius and Box Shadow, Thumbnail Border Color, and Thumbnail Hover Effects to create a functional, visually appealing, and detailed image viewer that fits your site’s design.
