1917

Dated as of April 6th, 1917. To prevent 1,600 men from walking into a deadly trap as an infantry battalion prepares to do battle deep in enemy territory, two soldiers are given the urgent mission of delivering a message to the battalion in as little time as possible. This is the premise of the 2019 film “1917,” which tells the harrowing story of Lance Corporals Schofield and Blake as they race against time to deliver the message and save lives. The film is a powerful depiction of the horrors of war and the bravery of those who fight in it, as it takes the audience on a visceral journey through the trenches and battlefields of World War I.
