When a new spaceman action figure displaces the cowboy doll as the most popular toy in a boy’s bedroom, the cowboy doll feels gravely threatened and overcome with jealousy. Toy Story is a 1995 computer-animated comedy film that follows a group of toys that come to life when their owner, Andy, is not around. The story centers around Woody, a cowboy doll who is Andy’s favorite toy, and Buzz Lightyear, a new space ranger action figure who challenges Woody’s position. After getting lost in the city, Woody and Buzz must work together to find their way back home before Andy moves away. Along the way, they encounter other toys and face obstacles such as Sid, a destructive child. Through their journey, Woody learns the value of friendship and that being Andy’s favorite toy is not what matters most.
