Rattlesnake

Note:

The Rattlesnake cocktail is a classic drink that dates back to the early 20th century. It's a bold and potent combination of bourbon and absinthe, with the addition of lemon juice and a frothy egg white.

1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice

1/2 ounce simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)

In a cocktail shaker, combine the bourbon, absinthe, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white.

Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 20-30 seconds to ensure the drink is well chilled and the egg white is frothy.

Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.

If desired, garnish with a lemon twist by twisting a strip of lemon peel over the glass to release its oils. Drop the twist into the drink for added aroma.
