While building a page in Elementor sometimes you will find the need to avoid adding a duplicate repeated post to the page. Duplicate posts can happen when adding more than one post widget to the page. In this article you can find out how to avoid duplicate posts on your Elementor page using our advanced post selection.
Install one or more post widgets from Unlimited Elements widget library. Create a new page and add two or more instances of the same widget or diffrent post widgets to the page. For example I am using a Post Magazine Grid widget and a Post List widget to create a unique layout.
In my example you can see that both post widgets are set to the same post query and showing the same posts. To avoid showing the same posts in both widgets follow these steps after clickicking on the widget to edit it:
- Go to the “Post Query” Section
- Go to “Exclude By”
- Add “Avoid Duplicates”
- Repeat the same process for the second widget
- Preview the page
- Both widgets must have exclude by -> avoid duplicates configured
- This feature is shown only on the live page when clicking preview and not in the editor.
Below you can find an example of the given result after previewing the page and avoiding duplicate posts successfully.
